Boyer-Martenot

Domaine Boyer-Martenot has now been preserving and passing on traditional family expertise, combined with great respect for the environment for four generations. André Boyer took over the family vineyards from his mother Lucie after World War II. The vineyard rapidly expanded as he married Juliette Devèze, a native of Puligny-Montrachet, in 1945. In 1976, their son Yves took over, and in turn married Marie Cécile Martenot, daughter of a Meursault-based winemaker. Today, their son Vincent tends the ten hectares of vines in the emblematic communes of Meursault, Puligny Montrachet, Auxey Duresses and Pommard. The estate grew considerably between 1997 and 2007, with the acquisition of new plots in some of the region’s finest appellations. The estate adopts sustainable, environmentally friendly viticulture and vinification methods in both the vineyard and the winery, closely resembling the organic label (which it does not claim), to produce premium quality wines.
