Pommard 1er Cru Les Arvelets Confuron-Cotetidot 2012
The wine
Located at the end of the valley that leads to west Pommard, the plot is on clay-chalk soil fully exposed to the south. The wine is deep and intense with a structure that is well-spiced and fruited. Its palate is generous. This wine can be aged for more than ten years before accompanying a dish of grilled meat.
About the Producer Confuron-Cotetidot
Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot located in Vosne-Romanée, was created by Jack Confuron in 1964. Today it is managed by his sons, Jean-Pierre and Yves, both enologists. The vineyard extends over 11 hectares in Charmes-Chambertin, Clos de Vougeot, Echézeaux, Nuits-Saint-Georges and Vosne-Romanée. The winemaking is done with entire bunches of grapes, harvested to perfect maturity, producing absolutely remarkable Burgundy wines, which are very fine, frank and complex. The grapes are harvested when very ripe but the wines are always perfectly balanced. The domaine is at the top of the Côte de Nuits.
