Meursault 1er Cru Les Bouchères Génot-Boulanger (Domaine) 2002
About the Producer Génot-Boulanger
When you walk through the village of Meursault, you absolutely must stop off at the magnificent Château de Cîteaux. It is here Aude and Guillaume Lavollée tend to their vines before their grapes are vinified in their winery located at the bottom of the village. Charles-Henri Génot and his wife Marie (née Boulanger) arrived in Meursault in 1974 and acquired their first vines. After that, plots in Côte Chalonnaise, then the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits gradually completed their range, which today comprises 22 hectares of vines in 30 appellations. Among the most beautiful are Clos de Vougeot, Corton-Charlemagne, Meursault Premier Cru Les Bouchères and Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Les Folatières.
In 2008, Aude and Guillaume Lavollée continued the family adventure. They have been working hard and the domain was certified organic in 2018. Nicolas Ludwig, the domain’s oenologist, creates excellent quality wines that are complex and fine.
