Château Matras 2000
The wine
This property was acquired by the Wertheimer family (Canon, Rauzan-Ségla) in 2011 and the wine is no longer included in the Saint Emilion classification following the revision in 2012. Previously it was listed as a grand cru classé. Château Matras' vineyard has now been merged with that of Château Canon. Very fragrant, this wine needs some time to really open up (five to ten years).
About the Producer Château Matras
This highly fragrant wine needs some time to really open up (five to ten years). It is rich, heady and very well-rounded with an array of fruity, floral aromas, and notes of wood and liquorice.
