Lot presentation
Chénas Christophe Pacalet 2015
The wine
The smallest of the Beaujolais crus is named after the oak trees that in times past covered the cru's hillsides. The Chénas appellation has the privilege of rubbing shoulders with the famous Moulin-à-Vent. While they do not have the same power, Chénas' wines are full-bodied, rich and and well-structured; they are characterised by generous aromas. The wine has a ruby colour with glints of garnet while its bouquet presents floral, woody notes; these are wines with a generous capacity to age that are soft on the palate and which - for the time being - are less well known than their prestigious brother next door.
