Vin de France Les Ponts Yann Durieux - Recrue des Sens 2016
The wine
Yann Durieux worked for 10 years at the famous Domaine Prieuré-Roch as head grower. In 2010 he took up his family’s parcels and created Domaine Recrue des Sens. We might assume that the passion Yann puts into crafting fine wine has increased over the years. This is certainly our impression upon tasting this fruity and flavourful Pinot noir.
This producer is ambitious in the vineyard and the winery alike, intervening as little as possible so that the Pinot noir can come through authentically. The vines are not cropped, yields are limited, and biodynamic methods mean the cycle of plant life is highly respected. In the winery, no sulphites are added, and fermentation occurs using only wild yeasts.
A fine and flavourful wine that’ll be rare in no time…
