About the Producer Thomas Morey
Situated in Chassagne-Montrachet, Domaine Thomas Morey is the creation of Thomas Morey and his spouse Sylvie. It came about in 2006, with this producer representing the tenth generation of Moreys in his village; he wanted to spread his wings after working for 12 years on the family estate. His first vintage is a 2007. As you can imagine, this family history is a long one, dating back to the 17th century, the period when Claude Morey settled in the village now globally reputed for its wine. He worked in the viticultural industry, plotting the path of his descendants who would become producers, barrel- and cask-makers. Then, at the end of the 19th century, the Morey family made winemaking their main activity. Over time, the domain expanded into more parcels and wildland, building up a lovely agricultural heritage. It's with the strong savoir-faire inherited from his ancestors that Thomas Morey can now craft and offer these exceptional cuvées.
