Saint-Joseph - 2018
The wine
The Saint-Joseph appellation stretches from Condrieu to the north to Saint-Péray near Valence to the south. In the 17th century, the Tournon Jesuits gave it its current name. Between 1956 and 1969, all the vineyards of this part of the Côtes du Rhône were grouped together and labelled under the Saint-Joseph appellation. Less than 10% of the farmed surface area is used for the production of white wines. Dry and fleshy, Saint-Joseph whites feature a clear, sparkling yellowish-green shade. These medium-bodied wines develop astonishing floral acacia notes, as well as aromas of honey and apricot.
Light, fruity and enthralling from a very young age, the best of them are a real treat for Hermitage blanc enthusiasts.
