Pommard 1er Cru Les Chanlins Chavy-Chouet 1990
The wine
The domaine’s Rugiens Pommard is ruby coloured with elegant aromas of Morello cherry, tobacco and a pleasant hint of wood. On the palate, the tannins are polished and the finish is long and full of flavour.
About the Producer Chavy-Chouet
Domaine Chavy Chouet, located in Meursault, is a family vineyard that extends over 13 hectares and has plots in the most beautiful villages of the Côte de Beaune: Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Volnay and Pommard. The domaine comes from the union of the two eponymous families, settled for generations in the region. Currently managed by Romaric Chavy (7th generation), the farm is cultivated in an environmentally friendly manner, limiting chemicals as much as possible. The very fair prices mean it is unmissable for any lover of great Burgundy wines.
