Pauillac de Château Latour 2003
The wine
Pauillac de Château Latour has existed since the 1970s. Since 1990, it has been produced every year. It comes from a selection of Forts de Latour and some young vines outside the Enclos. With its nose of ripe black fruit, its rich, opulent and full-bodied palate, this wine (which is full of character) is an elegant initiation to the great wine of this Pauillac premier cru classé.
About the Producer Château Latour
Created in around 1680, Château Latour is one of the oldest vineyards in the Médoc. There is a central plot known as the Enclos with 47 hectares of old vines that are maintained with extreme care, as these are the ones used to make the grand vin. Another 18 hectares of external plots, consisting of vines less than ten years-old and potentially declassified plots are used to produce the property's second wine, Les Forts de Latour.
