The wine
Spanning 60 hectares, Pouilly-Vinzelles is a small appellation in the Vinzelles municipality; the white wines here are similar – if a touch less complex – than those of neighbouring Pouilly-Fuissé. Chardonnay reveals aromas of flowers, acacia and honey that evolve into notes of coffee and spices. They can be cellared for between 3 and 10 years.
About the Producer Ramonet
Jean-Claude and Noël safeguard the 17-hectare property created bit by bit by their grandfather Pierre Ramonet in the 1920s, a Burgundian figure. Noël (in the cellar) and Jean-Claude (in the vineyard) took over the domain in 1984. They are the third generation and want to get the best out of the terroir. It is one of the most renowned domain of the appellation for both quality and finesse of its wines.
