Cognac Hennessy Bras d'Or Napoléon
The wine
The "Part des Anges" ["Angels' Share"] is the poetic term used to describe the evaporation that occurs when Cognac is left to age in barrels. The term now refers to a yearly gathering, bringing the men and women of Cognac together for a charity event.
This year, the "Fée du Paradis" is representing the 4th edition of an event that was founded by the Interprofession du Cognac in 2006.
This auction sale offers collectors the opportunity to bid on truly exceptional, even unique, bottles of Cognac offered up by generous donors. Profit from sales will be donated to the Fondation de France.
To honour key figures who have remained loyal to the House, it is a tradition at Hennessy to treat them to the wonderful "coupes" based on designs that Yann Fillioux whips up every year, as did six generations of his family before him. Very limited editions of several exceptional eaux-de-vie from Grande and Petite Champagnes, Borderies and Fins Bois, the 2008 coupe is characterised by a refined and elegant style with a meltingly smooth maturity, great suppleness on the palate and a silky finish. It is presented in an understated waxed oak box.
