Lot presentation
Château Magence (no reserve) 1988
The wine
The red wines have a ruby colour with purple glints of violet. The nose presents aromas of ripe red fruit, with toasty, roasted notes and a touch of smoke. On the palate, they are supple, rounded and well-balanced. Fine, well-integrated tannins result in a very pleasant, elegant wine.
About the Producer Château Magence
Overlooking the Garonne, the vineyard lies on a silica-gravel hilltop, with naturally drained soil, on a subsoil of impermeable clay. The north-south orientation of the rows of vines exposes the grape clusters to the maximum amount of sunshine. Château Magence's wines are refined and complex. These are wines for cellaring, developing hints of smoke characteristic of Graves.
