About the Producer Harlan Estate
Located in the hills to the west of Oakville in California, Harlan Estate produces wines from traditional Bordeaux grape varieties: Cabernets, Merlot and Petit Verdot. This family-run estate was founded by Bill Harlan. Advised by oenologist Michel Rolland, the estate produces a main cuvée as well as an excellent second wine called The Maiden. The Napa Valley is a wine-growing region in Napa county, California. It is deemed to be one of the United States' most prestigious wine-producing areas with a heritage that dates back to the 19th century. It enjoys a Mediterranean climate. Charles Krug was the first to create a winery in the region in 1861. Since then, many leading French names have joined him, including Moueix, Rothschild, Moët et Chandon, Taittinger and Mumm.
