The wine
The vineyard has an area space of 50 hectares and benefits from a unique micro-climate. This unique location allows for a wine that is particularly well-suited to the four noble grape varieties of Bordeaux, with Cabernet Sauvignon leading the way. Concentrated and full-bodied, the Dominus boasts a characteristic bouquet of berries and spices.
About the Producer Dominus Estate
In the 1960s, Christian Moueix, who was a student in the United States, analysed the unique potential of Napa Valley with close interest. Since then, his experience, know-how and attention to detail have allowed him to recreate another great wine: Dominus, which has been produced since 1983 in Yountville, in the unique Napanook terroir. Christian Moueix initially joined forces with the two daughters of the previous owner, John Daniel. He eventually bought up the entire domaine in 1995.
