The history of Domaine Amirault goes back a long way as it has been nearly 180 years since the Amirault family has grown vines on the Clos des Quarterons, in Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, namely, six generations who have succeeded the head of this family domain. It is now Xavier Amirault who succeeded his brother Thierry, fifteen years his senior and now runs the family domain. The vineyard covers 32 hectares, worked biodynamically (Demeter certified since 2010). Élevage takes place in the Cellar of Vau Renou, an old stone quarry of tufa stone, several hundred metres long. In the cellar, vinification is long and carefully done and élevage lasts at least 12 months, in demi-muids or in foudres. The wines are neither fined nor filtered. The wines of this domain stand out thanks to their indulgent fruitiness and their very fine tannin grains.
This cuvée is aged in vats on fine lees. It is a wine with fresh fruit with crunchy and indulgent red berries whilst the palate unfurls a very pleasant, fine and light texture, offering up wonderful freshness. An indulgent and thirst-quenching wine, perfect for aperitifs with friends, barbeques , picnics etc.

About the Producer Xavier Amirault
Domaine Amirault's history goes back nearly 180 years. The same family has been cultivating these vines on the Clos des Quarterons in Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil for six generations. Today it is Xavier Amirault's turn to manage the estate. He took over from his brother Thierry, who is 15 years his senior. The vineyard spans 32 hectares and is biodynamically cultivated (Demeter certification since 2010). The wines are raised in the Vau Renou cellars, a large tuffeau stone quarry that is several hundred metres long. In the cellar, vinifications are long and meticulous. The wines are raised for a minimum of 12 months in demi-muids or foudres. The wines are neither filtered nor clarified and are defined by their fruit and very fine grain tannins.
