A forthright and deliciously drinkable Pouilly-Fumé, for a fresh and refined tasting experience.
More infoThis Pouilly-Fumé, made exclusively from Sauvignon Blanc, comes from “Les Cornets”, a terroir characterised by Kimmeridgian marl (late Jurassic period) with small oyster fossils, also known as “Terres Blanches”.
Historically, it is documented that a certain François Redde was already cultivating vines in Pouilly-sur-Loire in 1630. Since then, successive generations have been driven by a passion for perpetuating the tradition of this great historic estate. Today, the estate extends over 40 hectares in the heart of the Pouilly-Fumé appellation.
This wine reveals a rich bouquet with notes of gunflint, citrus and white fruit such as peach and lychee, mingled with a touch of herbaceousness. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and mineral, with remarkable freshness and, a long smooth creaminess, showing great aromatic purity.
Aged for 16 to 18 months on fine lees in “foudres” (large, wooden tuns) and “demi-muids” (600-litre barrels), this wine has great complexity and natural acidity, promising an ageing potential of 10 to 15 years.

About the Producer Michel Redde & Fils
Wine has been running through the veins of the Redde family for almost 400 years. Michel Redde can trace his family's winemaking origins in Pouilly-sur-Loire back to 1630. When he and his wife Simone took up the baton, they expanded the property considerably, buying new vineyard parcels and building La Moynerie, a tasting cellar that attracts visitors travelling on the N7 trunk road. Their son Thierry expanded further in 2001 when he converted the chai into a three-storey, gravity-flow winery. In the vineyards, Michel Redde, his son, and grandsons Sébastien and Romain grow Sauvignon Blanc in the Pouilly-Fumé appellation and Chasselas in the Pouilly-sur-Loire appellation. The 40 hectares of vines are tended with meticulous care and the property is gradually moving over to organic practices. The clay-chalk soils give their wines texture and elegance. Domaine Michel Redde et Fils has an affinity with the distinctive features of each terroir and showcases these to perfection in its single parcel wines.
