More infoThis Bergeron, made using Roussane grapes, is a great source of pride for Louis Magnin. Its incredibly rich array of aromas oscillates between that of flowers, citrus fruits, apricots, pineapple, quince, candied fruit, aniseed, or even mint. Grown on the best parcels in the Montmélian commune, where the clay-limestone soils give a pleasant roundness, great finesse, and most importantly, an underlying minerality which sets it apart from other Chignon-Bergeron wines. The grapes are harvested when almost overripe and the wines are matured on fine lees for 15-18 months, features which give the wine a fleshy texture as well as a certain intensity, making the wine suitable for cellaring for around ten years.
