About the Producer Schieferkopf - Chapoutier
As hard as it is to believe, the great Rhône master, Michel Chapoutier, has set his sights on Alsace. Passionate about the mineral, terroir-driven wines produced in the Rhine with their distinct regional varieties, he and four fellow Rhin loving friends acquired this domaine in 2009. Their first biodynamic vintage entered the Alsatian winemaking history books in 2011, bearing the name Schieferkopf.
