Vin de France (anciennement Jurançon) Jardins de Babylone Didier Dagueneau 50cl 2008
The wine
Petit Manseng’s small berries have an incredibly high concentration of sugar and acidity, lending this Jurançon superb aromatic complexity and wonderful freshness. The vines are planted on clay and quartz slopes. After harvest, the wines are meticulously sorted before being raised in oak for one year.
About the Producer Jardins de Babylone
The domaine Jardins de Babylone is a small (3-hectare) vineyard located on the hillside of the village of Aubertin. It is owned by the Dagueneau family, who also own property in Pouilly-Fumé and Sancerre. Louis-Benjamin Dagueneau, who succeeded his father Didier Dagueneau, is now in charge. The domaine produces wines of remarkable finesse, extremely aromatic and with a low alcohol content. Les Jardins de Babylone is an up-and-coming domain in this appellation.
