The most expensive rosé in the world. It's a charming wine that would be perfect for opening when you have friends over for a flavourful meal.
More infoThe most expensive rosé in the world. A magnum of this wine was sold at auction for €2,600 in 2019. Only 200 magnums were produced this year which is the only sized bottled produced for this beautiful wine. It is presented in a hand-made bottle with a unique design which is as elegant as any perfume bottle you could find. This rosé is made from Grenache and Rolle grapes from the château’s oldest vines - which are also their best ones. The idea of this wine is to spectacularly show of the terroir in is purest form.
After being harvested, the grapes are taken to the cellar for vinification in egg-shaped concrete tanks, after which half of the wine is aged in demi-muids (600-litre barrels).
Tasting the wine reveals notes of cherries and wild strawberries as well as a beautiful minerality. The first drop to reach the palate is supple and saline, after which a pronounced length takes over. A rosé to pair with flavourful dishes, without a doubt.

About the Producer Miraval
You perhaps didn’t expect to hear us talking about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie at iDealwine…but there’s a first time for everything! The Hollywood stars got their hands on the magnificent Provençal Château Miraval in Correns (Var) a few years ago. Not being wine experts themselves, they entrusted the Perrin family, a veritable Rhône institution, to guide them. Much more than a whim, the wines produced here have now attained worldwide recognition, and the estate’s rosé was awarded World’s Best Rosé by the trustworthy Wine Spectator. In the glass, we find all the finesse and elegance that we love in a regional rosé thanks to their delicate vinification process.
Miraval is also a location closely linked to the arts by its owners, who seek to continue doing so, in particular with the famous Studio Miraval – a recording studio founded in 1977 and frequented by some of the greatest artists of its time – but also with sculpture and painting. Surrounded by pines, olive trees, oaks and vines, this Provençal château is definitely in a class of its own, under the spotlight, often only a short distance away. In 2020, the Pitt family teamed up with Champagne house Pierre Peters to produce a rosé Champagne. The only Champagne house to produce exclusively rosé Champagne.
