About the Producer Château des Tours
Located in Vacqueyras, Château des Tours is the property of the celebrated Emmanuel Reynaud of Château Rayas and Château Fonsalette fame. This domaine spans 40 hectares and produces a Vacqueyras rouge (80% Grenache and 20% Syrah), a Côtes-du-Rhône rouge (65% Grenache, 15% Cinsault and 20% Syrah) and a Côte-du-Rhône blanc (100% Grenache) under the name Château des Tours. It also produces, under the same name, a Vin de Pays de Vaucluse rouge (Grenache, Counoise, Syrah, Cinsault, Merlot and other varieties) and a Vin de Pays de Vaucluse blanc (100% Clairette). Finally, under the ‘Parisy' label it produces a Vin de Table rosé from a blend of Grenache and Cinsault. Great care is taken in the cultivation here although the domaine isn't scared to take a risk during harvest time. In fact, the grapes are picked when they are as ripe as possible. This domaine produces high quality wines that sho depth, fruit and exceptional balance. Their complexity and ageing potential make them highly sought-after. It4s worth noting also that the domaine only sells the simple Vin de Pays Vacqueyras after a few years ageing in their cave.
