All the freshness and deliciousness of the Merlot aromas combine in a refreshing, flavoursome beer.

More info

This top-fermented blond beer is brewed from Merlot grapes grown by Marius Bielle, an iconic winemaker in Lalande-de-Pomerol, Gironde. The grapes are fermented in whole bunches in stainless steel vats before being carefully pressed. The juice, at the height of its fermenting power, is blended with a beer wort that uses the natural yeasts of Merlot grapes. The beer is then aged for 12 months in oak foudres (large tuns) before being bottled for a second fermentation.
The golden colour graced by pinkish tints reveals a floral nose combining notes of white peony and peaches. On the palate, freshness dominates, with a refined texture evoking the fruity and floral aromas of the nose and leading to a fresh, flavoursome finish. This beer can be enjoyed young or after a long cellaring period.
