A lovely tasting experience can be expected with this wine and its complex aromas of fruit, flowers, and spices.

More info

A gentle nose of crisp, red fruits, liquorice, and oak accompanies a light hint of peony and cacao. On the palate, the wine is structured with tannins that will soften with the years. Along with notes of cherry, flowers, and spices, a long aeration will encourage the development of smoky aromas. The full and supple finish brings a freshness to the whole.

About the Producer Rossignol-Trapet

The Rossignol-Trapet wine property was established through the alliance of two families, the Rossignols and the Trapets, who were both winemakers in Burgundy (the Rossignols at Volnay, since the 16th century and the Trapets at Gevrey-Chambertin since the 18th century). Nicolas and David Rossignol have been running the Domaine Rossignol-Trapet, situated at Gevrey-Chambertin, since 1990. They own vineyards in the renowned villages of Beaune, Savigny-les-Beaune and of course Gevrey-Chambertin. Today, they use traditional methods which are backed up by new technical and biological knowledge. David and Nicolas strive to maintain high standards in their vineyards to ensure a healthy and quality harvest each year. Since 2004 all the vines are cultivated using biodynamics.
