About the Producer Château Gironville
Located in Macau in the north of Bordeaux, Gironville is a very old Cru Bourgeois that belonged to the mayor of Bordeaux Lodi-Martin Duffour-Dubergier (also owner of Château Smith-Haut-Lafitte) at the beginning of the 19th century. After that, the vines were removed, but in 1987, Rémy Fouin and the Mercier brothers decided to replant the vineyard and added a bit more than 5 hectares to it. The wines of the château became rapidly better and the château was again classified Cru Bourgeois in 2003. The following year, Vincent Mulliez acquired the property, as well as the château Belle-Vue. Since his death in 2010, his wife and their 5 children manage the domain
