Intensity
Vinified in the same way as some fine, Burgundy wines, this Ardèche Chardonnay is reminiscent of its producers’ regional origins. Roundness and aromatic complexity define this wine.
More infoThe Grande Ardèche cuvée comes from the regions best clay and chalk parcels at Maison Louis Latour. Carefully selected, the Chardonnay grapes are pressed, and the must is vinified for ten months in oak barrels, much like some of Burgundy’s finest wines. After a malolactic fermentation and an 8-1à month maturation in oak barrels (20% new wood), this wine can be served in its first five years. It is pale golden in colour, giving off a complex bouquet marked by notes of chewy fruit and pastry. It is round on the palate with a long finish, particularly delicious when accompanying seafood dishes.

About the Producer Louis Latour
A family business since its creation in 1797, Louis Latour is one of the most recognised traders/ famers in Burgundy. It has remained a family enterprise for over two centuries and is thus part of the closed circle of the Henokiens. It is now Florent Latour, representative of the 11th generation who is at its head since the disappearance of his brother Louis Fabrice. The Louis Latour house gradually formed a vast domaine, extending from Chambertin to Chevalier-Montrachet: 48 hectares, 28 in grand crus. It cultivates Pinot Noir for its reds and Chardonnay for its whites. Over the last thirty years, the company has also spread in the Ardèche, in the Var and in the Pierres Dorées region, also producing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The Maison is committed to a more ecologically friendly and respectful terroir by adopting responsible and sustainable agriculture (limitation of pesticides, compost and ploughing of certain parcels).
