Porto Dow Vintage Porto Dow's 1970
The wine
Dow's has produced a port made by a delicate, painstaking process. Its intense colour, sweetness and powerfully fruity, complex notes are attributable to factors such as its élevage in wood. Try combining it with dishes that usually defy pairing, such as grilled sardines or onion soup. The sweet-toothed will be sure to enjoy it with a chocolate cake!
About the Producer Dow
Dows has been reputed since the 19th century. It was during this period that James Ramsey Dow established his reputation with his scientific research into oidium. In 1877, the company merged with Silva Cosens. Today, it is known as one of the largest and most respected port wine houses.
