Lot presentation

Vin de France Argile Château Lafitte 50 cl 2021

The wine

This biodynamic (Demeter-certified) dry white wine, produced from 100% Petit Manseng grapes, is vinified naturally with native yeasts without any additives or added sulphur. Alcoholic fermentation and ageing are then carried out in terracotta amphorae. The wine is neither filtered nor fined before bottling.
On tasting, this nectar displays a superb aromatic expression, both very fresh and lively, with perfectly controlled balance and tension. This chiselled dry Jurançon exudes considerable purity, and flows through to a long, lively finish. While acidity prevails, it is also perfectly integrated into the wine’s structure, without ever creating any imbalance. Château Lafitte’s Cuvée Argile now ranks among the region’s finest whites. It will pair beautifully with fine seafood such as sea urchin salad. We recommend you enjoy the brilliance of its fruit in its first five years.
