Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Groseilles La Pousse d'Or (Domaine de) 2014
The wine
Chambolle Musigny Les Groseilles from Domaine de la Pousse d'Or is a delicately textured wine with elegant tannins. The grapes are grown on 52 ares of chalky soil and undergo malolactic fermentation and élevage in oak for 15 months. This wine develops beautifully over time.
About the Producer Domaine de la Pousse d'Or
The famous historical domaine of Volnay, the Pousse d'Or has an exceptional vineyard with many premier and grand crus. Previously owned by Gérard Potel, it is now in the hands of Patrick Landanger. The vineyard tends to come close to organic farming and the winemaking process is carried out smoothly, in the most natural way possible and élevage is understated (with a low proportion of new casks). The quality of this work means they can produce wines with remarkable aromatic expression and excellent aging potential.
