Arbois Pinot Noir Jacques Puffeney 1998
The wine
The domain pays homage to this prestigious Burgundian grape variety in its own way. Thus the wine, which can be enjoyed within ten years, carries intense notes of dark fruit and small berries. Structured by round and aged tannins, it will make the perfect accompaniment for pâté, meats in sauce or characterful cheeses.
About the Producer Jacques Puffeney
Created in 1960 by Jacques Puffeney, the domain spans 6 hectares, spread over a dozen parcels. He farmed Poulsard, Pinot Noir, Trousseau, Chardonnay and Savagnin with meticulous care. Puffeney retired in 2014 and sold 4.25 hectares of the domain to Marquis d'Angerville (Volnay, Burgundy). He kept the rest for himself and one of his nephews.
