Château Bel Air 2004
The wine
Produced from a terroir known for its gravelly, sandy soil, Château Bel Air's wines have a full-bodied, well-rounded character. They are made by the same team that manages production at Châteaux Gloria and Saint Pierre, also owned by Françoise and Jean-Louis Triaud.
About the Producer Château Bel Air (Haut-Médoc)
Château Bel Air is loacted in Cussac, bordering the Saint-Julien and Saint-Julien Beychevelle appellation. This Cru Bourgeois of the Haut Médoc was bought by the Martin family in 1980. The vineyard spans 34 hectares. Harvest is done by hand and vinifications take place in stainless steel vats. The wines are then raised for 12 months in oak fûts with 25% new wood.
