A remarkable Meursault, considering its humble "villages" status; perfectly balanced between richness and attractive tension.

Meursault En la Barre François et Antoine Jobard (Domaine) 2002
The wine
Meursault En la Barre is vinified with indigenous yeasts. It is élevaged in barrels for twelve months and then in pièces bourguignonnes (228 litre barriques) for a further six to ten months. The wine has a nose of intense floral aromas with notes of verbena, sweet almond and menthol. It is rich and creamy on the palate, with a buttery/toasted edge, but it also has very good volume and plenty of freshness. Its length is impressive. This wine pairs equally well with fish, shellfish and white meat.
About the Producer Antoine Jobard
Domaine François and Antoine Jobard was created from the Pierre Jobard domaine shared in 1971 between the two children, Charles and François. A great winemaker, François Jobard produces wines just like his predecessors: classical, not very effusive, sound and of great purity. Moreover, the wines age extremely well.
