Château Cadet Piola Grand Cru Classé 1961
The wine
Great importance is placed on the terroir at Château Cadet-Piola. Every effort is made to give it full expression in order to reveal the wine's origins. The wines are balanced, with the wood aromas that don’t overpower the wine's freshness and complexity.
About the Producer Château Cadet Piola
Château Cadet-Piola was created in the mid-18th century. Since 2009, the Château Cade Piola's vineyard, acquired by the AG2R La Mondiale insurance group, has been incorporated into Château Soutard's vineyard. Today, it has seven hectares of vines, consisting of 51% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Pressac. The vines have an average age of 35 years and grow in a clay-limestone soil. The harvests are carried out by hand with sorting taking place directly in the vineyard. The wine is then aged in barrels before being bottled. The average annual production is 32,000 bottles.
