Rioja DOCA Vina Albina Reserva Riojanas 1978
The wine
Vina Albina is part of Bodegas Riojanas, founded in 1890 in the heart of the Rioja Alta. The wine is a blend of Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Graciano from clay and limestone soils. A classic fermentation and a long maceration before a 24-30 months ageing in American oak barrels. A perfectly balanced wine with a great acidity and a long fruity and fresh finish.
About the Producer Riojanas
The Riojanas bodegas have work in the world of wine for over 100 years. The domain was created in the 1890s as a result of the collaboration between the Frias Artacho family and the Catalonian businessman Rafael Carreras. The domain now owns 200 hectares of vines of Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Graciano. Their range of wines has developed in recent times; Monte Real and Vina Albina are among their most iconic wines.
