Arbois Savagnin Jacques Puffeney 2010
The wine
This is a wine which, to be fully appreciated, will reward a few years of ageing and a good aeration before serving. It emanates notes of fresh nuts, spices (curry, saffron), and yellow fruits. Very ample and aromatic, the palate reveals a high level of purity marked by an acidity that makes it suited for cellaring. You have here in front of you a wine which deserves all of your attention and is to be served with regional dishes.
About the Producer Jacques Puffeney
Created in 1960 by Jacques Puffeney, the domain spans 6 hectares, spread over a dozen parcels. He farmed Poulsard, Pinot Noir, Trousseau, Chardonnay and Savagnin with meticulous care. Puffeney retired in 2014 and sold 4.25 hectares of the domain to Marquis d'Angerville (Volnay, Burgundy). He kept the rest for himself and one of his nephews.
