The wine
Christophe Curtat's philosophy is to encourage his vines to dig deep into the soil to obtain the nutrients they need. As a result, the wines they produce reflect the full minerality and complexity offered by the granite soil. This cuvée has a steady garnet-red appearance, a bouquet focused on notes of black berries (cherry), spices and flowers such as violet. The granite terroir in which it originates lends it an attractive freshness, refining its tannins. It is harmonious and elegant, with a long finish on the peppery notes typical of Syrah.
About the Producer Christophe Curtat
Settling in Tournon since 2004, Christophe Curtat presides over a seven hectare vineyard in the southern-centre of the Saint-Joseph appellation. His plots are typified by granite soil which gives a minerality and irresistible freshness to his wines. Over time his production has gained in quality and voluptuousness. A domaine worth remembering, in short!
