Moulin à Vent Champ de Cour Château du Moulin à Vent 2015
The wine
This grande cuvée comes from one of the property's south-easterly oriented plots, with a terroir of granitic rock which encourages the vines to develop very deep roots and find nutrients. Moulin à Vent Champ de Cour has a superb minerality, a characteristic that it acquires from a layer of pebbles deep in the soil. These pebbles are all that remains of the river that passed through here long ago.
About the Producer Château du Moulin à Vent
Château du Moulin à Vent, originally known as Château des Thorins, lies in a 37 hectare vineyard made up of very high quality terroirs. Wine production at the site dates back to 1732, and by the end of the 18th century Philiberte Pommier had already identified the potential of certain cuvées. Since 2009, the property has been managed by Jean-Jacques Parinet, who has made it his mission to restore the wines to their former glory.
