Musigny Grand Cru Moine-Hudelot (Domaine) 1985
The wine
At the heart of the Chambolle Musigny appellation and above Clos Vougeot, Musigny is one of the emblematic crus of the Côte de Nuits vineyards. It has a pure deep red ruby colour. As a young wine, its perfumes evoke violets and sweet fruits. After a long cellaring these become precious and complex, with undertones of fallen leaves, earth and moss, together with gamey notes of leather and fur.
About the Producer Domaine Moine-Hudelot
Domaine Moine-Hudelot in Chambolle-Musigny was originally a small family farm, managed by Daniel Moine, the former mayor of Chambolle-Musigny, before being bought in 2008 by Patrick Landanger of the Domaine de la Pousse d'Or. The domaine no longer exists as such today but its wines remain appreciated by informed wine lovers.
