Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru Domaine Drouhin-Laroze 1990
The wine
Domaine Drouhin-Laroze's Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru comes from a plot located in the Clos de Vougeot known as "des Papes" in the lieux-dits of "Plante l'Abbé" and "Quartier de Marei Haut". This area was set aside for the exclusive consumption of the popes of Avignon. The vines were planted in 1976, 1989 and 2007. This wine reveals notes of black berries, licorice, spices, wood and leather. It has intense, powerful tannins with marvellous length on a creamy palate.
About the Producer Drouhin-Laroze
Domaine Drouhin-Laroze has been a family domaine for more than a century and a half, with many prestigious appellations in premier crus and grand crus and therefore an exceptional heritage. Today Philippe and Christine Drouhin and their children manage the domaine.
