Saint-Joseph Sainte Epine Hervé Souhaut - Domaine Romaneaux-Destezet 2019
The wine
This Saint Joseph comes from granite slopes and aging for one year in barrels which hold several wines. This allows it to maintain its purity, indulgence, roundness and vivacity of the fruity notes of the Syrah. You can therefore enjoy it when young and also after 10 years’ aging.
About the Producer Hervé Souhaut
Hervé Souhaut and his wife Béatrice, based in the Ardèche, opt for natural vinification and environmentally respectful viticulture. Their vines are grown according to organic and biodynamic principles, though they do not have certification. In his winemaking Hervé Souhaut is influenced by the stellar work of Marcel Lapierre and particularly by Philippe Paccalet. Their wines are therefore unfiltered and do not contain sulphites. They are sought-after for their purity and striking minerality.
