Extra Brut Oenophile Pierre Gimonnet 1998
The wine
Oenophile's extra Brut 1er Cru cuvée offers aromas of white flowers, quince and white-fleshed fruit (apple, pear, white peach) with notes of almonds and brioche. The palate offers a beautiful creaminess and a mineral-dominated finish.
About the Producer Pierre Gimonnet
The Gimonnet family have been wine growers since the middle of the 18th century, when they sold their grapes to the producers. The domain began making wine in 1935. Today it owns 28 hectares of Chardonnay vineyards in the Côte des Blancs, including some premier cru parcels. Single parcel selection gives every cuvée its own identity. In general, the champagnes are refined with a mineral quality. <
