Neighbouring the world famous commune of Meursault, the Chardonnay vines behind this wine deliver a rich nectar superbly balanced by natural minerality and acidity.
More infoThis wonderfully fruity white wine from Auxey-Duresses will bring a touch of opulence to your table. In its youth, it reveals hints of exotic fruits such as pineapple, along with peach and fresh almonds. A remarkable minerality and acidity typical of Chardonnay balance the whole, imparting a delightful freshness and a lingering, almost saline and, above all, very sapid flavour.
The Chardonnay grapes used to produce this wine originate from fifty-year-old vines growing on a plot adjacent to the renowned commune of Meursault.
After being cultivated in an environmentally responsible way, the grapes are vinified in stainless steel tanks until midway through the fermentation stage. The wine is then transferred to casks, where strict temperature control guarantees fullness, delicacy and structure. These qualities are refined during a nine-month ageing period in casks, with a relatively low proportion of new wood (around 15%).

About the Producer Prunier-Damy
Domaine Prunier-Damy, based in Auxey-Duresses, came to be when plots from two vineyards were brought together. The first, Domaine Damy (Gagnard), dates back to 1712, while the second, owned by the Prunier family, dates back to 1840. Since 2010, Justine Damy is in charge of the business, having taken over from her parents Philippe and Annie. Having inherited the family expertise and proud of her hometown of Auxey-Duresses, a discreet appellation in the Côte de Beaune, she cultivates 16 hectares of vines and produces high-quality wines that reflect their terroir.
A new vathouse was built in 2007. Justine applies environmentally friendly viticulture methods and uses selected organic products (the estate is not yet certified). Vegetation cover, controlled yields, increasingly manual harvesting, vinification in vats followed by ageing in wooden casks (with a majority of old casks).
The resulting wines are authentic, luscious and supple. We encourage you to try them, as they still present a good opportunity to acquire terroir wines at reasonable prices.
