Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Cazetiers Dupont-Tisserandot (Domaine) 2011
The wine
Cazetiers Gevrey-Chambertin has a very intense nose, an explosion of ripe red berry aromas (cherry in particular) and woody notes. The palate is both powerful and round, with spicy, raspberry flavours, well-integrated tannins and a beautifully fresh structure; the aromatic persistence does not disappoint. This wine has good ageing potential; it makes a great accompaniment for dishes of game in sauce.
About the Producer Dupont-Tisserandot
Domaine Dupont-Tisserandot has been run by the same family for four generations. It was bought by the Domaine Faiveley in 2013 but the teams remained in place, particularly Marie Françoise Guillard and Patricia Chevillon, who run the domaine. The 20 hectare vineyard has vines ranging from relatively old to old and it includes 20 different appellations. It extends from the north of the Côte de Nuits in Marsannay to the Côte de Beaune in Savigny-lès-Beaune.
