Vin de France Comeyre L'Anglore 2016
The wine
Once again, Eric Pfifferling proves with this cuvée that it is possible to produce fine wines in the south of France. It comes from an Carignan vieille vigne which his grandfather had planted 90 years ago. Bended with a little Clairette and Bourboulenc, and vinified without sulphur, it offers up complexity, freshness and enticing indulgence.
About the Producer L'Anglore
Domaine de l'Anglore is a flagship natural domain of the moment. The estate spans 4 hectares in Tavel, renowned for its rosé production, and is managed by Eric Pfifferling. This former apicultor turned to winemaking after seeing his bees die because of the insecticides used in the region. He practiced biodynamic viticulture right from the beginning: the soils are tilled so as to preserve the natural balance between roots and 'weeds'. His rosés are considered among the best in the world.
