Clos de la Roche Grand Cru Dujac (Domaine) 2006
The wine
With nearly 17 hectares of vineyards, Clos de la Roche is by far the largest in the commune of Morey-Saint-Denis. But Domaine Ponsot has demonstrated the exceptional quality of this terroir. Domaine Dujac also produces one of the most vibrant interpretations of this terroir. Harvested in whole bunches, this cuvée combines fruit and noble vegetal aromas on the nose. It will require at least ten years' aging before it reveals its full character.
About the Producer Dujac
Jacques Seysses created Domaine Dujac in 1968 by purchasing 4.5 hectares. He is also associated with Aubert de Villaine in the Var (Triennes). Today Jacques's children are the directors of the Domaine Dujac, Jeremy, his wife Diana (an American enologist) and Alec Seysses. The domaine, certified in organic farming, extends over 15 hectares in the largest terroirs of the Côte de Nuits and especially Morey-Saint-Denis. The domaine's wines have excellent aging potential and are characterised by great complexity and delicacy.
