Vin de France Les Grandes Orgues Vignoble de l'Arbre Blanc 2014
About the Producer Vignoble de l'Arbre Blanc
Located in the heart of the Auvergne, on the foothills of the Puy mountains, the l’Arbre Blanc vineyard is masterfully managed by Frédéric Gounan. A former mechanic who comes from a family of farmers, he decided his future would be closer to nature and with his partner Caroline decided to cultivate the high-potential terroirs of his village. After training in Burgundy, he acquired some vines of Pinot Noir, Sauvignon and Pinot Gris which grow on typical soils of basalt and lava. A follower of organic and biodynamic methods, he also practices natural vinifications without the use of Sulphur. His wines are sought after for the ripeness of their fruit and unparalleled minerality, which together lend an almost living character to the wines.
