Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes Vieilles vignes Frédéric Magnien 2014
The wine
Located right alongside Les Amoureuses, this parcel has deep brown limestone soils. The wine has a bouquet with notes of red and black berries and spices as a result of its élevage in wood. Its richness and power allow superb gastronomic pairings with simple but tasty dishes such as veal kidneys or black pudding with apples.
About the Producer Frédéric Magnien
Frédéric Magnien represents the 5th generation of wine growers of his family. He created his trading house in 1995 and is also in charge of the family domaine (Michel Magnien). He carefully selects his wine growers and the plots that interest him; he manages the harvest personally with his team. He is best known for his red wines but for several years he has also produced white. His wines are characterised by their concentration and their solid character.
