Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru Christian Confuron 1982
The wine
It takes a few swills of the glass to appreciate the bouquet of Christian Confuron's Clos de Vougeot. The wine gradually releases scents of precious wood (sandalwood and cedar). In addition to this rich side, it reveals jammy aromas of blackcurrant and prune. Its texture is very fluid, with civilised tannins. Simply put, this is a wine for contemplation, leaving a delicious mentholated sensation in the mouth.
About the Producer Christian Confuron & Fils
Christian Confuron owns a small domaine in Vougeot in the Côte de Nuits. Its name evokes the Domaine Jack Confuron-Cotetidot but these are two very distinct areas. The prices have remained very affordable.
