Château Malartic-Lagravière Cru Classé de Graves 2005
The wine
Produced in more limited amounts, the white Malartic Lagravière is nevertheless a superb Pessac. It has an elegant nose with yellow fruit flavours and citrus fruit notes. On the palate, it is wonderfully full-bodied, structured by its lovely acidity. This is a wine which will age marvellously over five to fifteen years.
About the Producer Château Malartic-Lagravière
Purchased by the family of Count Hippolite de Maurès de Malartic at the end of the eighteenth century, Château Malartic Lagravière has been renowned for centuries for the quality of its terroir. In 1997, the Bonnie family bought it from the Marly family. The Château is one of only six Classified Growths with both red and white wines. The vineyard covers 53 hectares (46ha devoted to red and 7ha to white) and the wines it produces nowadays are of exceptional quality.
