The wine
The Cuvée de Clos de Vougeot is made from grapes grown on vines that are more than 65 years old. It has a very refined nose with notes of red fruit and undergrowth. On the palate the wine is characterised by its depth, elegant tannic structure and long finish.
About the Producer Arnoux-Lachaux
Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux was founded in 1858 and has been run by five successive generations. Currently, Florence and Pascal Lachaux are at the helm (since 1995) of the operation. The vineyards cover just under 15 hectares and appellations: Vosne-Romanée, Clos-de-Vougeot, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Chambolle-Musigny, Echezaux, and Romanée-Saint-Vivant. The vines are maintained with grass cover, the yields have been mastered and thus, the quality of the wines has been further increased. A Côte des Nuits domaine which is not to be missed.
